Assessing how pension schemes can best manage their inflation risks during a period of uncertainty created by the monetary and fiscal stimulus unleashed alongside the development of COVID-19 vaccines.

Against this background, there are increasing concerns over the prospect of a material increase in inflation.  We will discuss whether these concerns are overplayed and how pension schemes can effectively manage inflation risks against the backdrop of what remains a hugely uncertain environment.

The session will focus on:

• Understanding why markets have reacted in the way they have to the inflation fears
• The future inflation landscape and the factors that will shape it
